Say hello to the Tortizza, a Dinner Life Raft with a twist.

Our/New York, a Manhattan bar and vodka distillery that first opened its doors in 2018, served improvised tortilla pizzas that were hastily baked in a toaster oven behind the bar when the place initially opened its doors. Dave Ortiz, the company’s creator and managing partner, received the concept from his buddy, chef Ilan Hall. “To make a long storey short, a famous chef set me up,” he said.

Tortizzas are medium-sized flour tortillas that are covered with tomato sauce, ricotta cheese, and red-pepper flakes, and are popular among the restaurant’s customers. They were just fantastic (and free of charge).

Tortizza is a delicate slip of a weekday dream that may be a life raft when time is of the importance when made at home. You’ll have to pay for your own tortillas, but the tortizza can be a delicate slip of a midweek dream when time is of the utmost. You may make this meal using corn tortillas if desired, but the moisture in flour tortillas will allow them to puff up in places after they are cooked in a hot oven, and those bits are the most enjoyable to consume.

These tortizzas are flat like tostadas, but they are more yielding, like single pizzas, in the way they are eaten. But it’s your life, so you can fold them whatever you want, whether they’re tacos or gyro wraps. There’s nothing more important than the fact that your tortizza gets into your mouth in the end.

Perhaps the most appealing aspect of this meal is that it takes just approximately 15 minutes to prepare from beginning to end, giving you plenty of time to go on with your day thereafter. Creating the salad topper and yoghurt sauce in advance may save time and effort since they will store in an airtight jar in the refrigerated for a day or two after they have been made. So that when you need a fast snack, all you have to do is heat up the tortillas and add on the toppings. It couldn’t be simpler.
