A little bit of Mala heat for Luke’s Lobster here

The Luke’s Lobster restaurant business, which serves seafood and Maine-style lobster rolls, has introduced a new version of their roll that is infused with Sichuan peppercorns. It is a joint effort on the part of Luke’s Lobster and Omsom, a firm that specialises in the production and sale of Asian sauce bases. Omsom was founded by Kim and Vanessa Pham, who are the daughters of Vietnamese immigrants. When combined with Japanese kewpie mayonnaise, Omsom’s “Chinese mala salad appetiser” amplifies the taste of the lobster in its Spicy Mala Lobster Roll. You may order it for $24 to $25, depending on the area, until the month of November. Immigrant History Initiative is a non-profit organisation that provides assistance to Asian American communities. During the month of May, a portion of the purchase will be donated to this organisation.
