Motivated Since winning Wimbledon, Nick Kyrgios has adopted a “completely new approach”

Nick Kyrgios, who finished in second place at Wimbledon last month, claimed that his mentality is radically different now compared to a few of years ago, when he would have found it difficult to remain motivated after a strong performance at a Grand Slam tournament.

The 27-year-old player, who enthrals fans with his skill but attracts criticism for his on-court theatrics and attitude, has been accused of tanking in the past, which is just one of the many allegations that have been levelled against him.

In his first singles match since losing to Novak Djokovic in his first Grand Slam final at Wimbledon, he cruised to a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Marcos Giron on Tuesday at the Washington Open. The match took less than an hour to complete.

Kyrgios said to the press, “I’m playing for a lot more than myself, and I feel like I’m just in a completely different mentality.”

“I believe a few years ago, after having a tremendous success in the Grand Slam, I think I would have struggled to find drive, clearly perhaps being a little more selfish.

“But now that I’ve had some time to reflect, I feel as if I had some time off when I was in the Bahamas, but I was still pushing myself to exercise every day. Coming to these competitions in good form and prepared to compete is essential. I simply feel so motivated right now for some reason.”

Kyrgios stated that he found it difficult to cope with the loss to Djokovic, who won his seventh Wimbledon title and 21st major title overall when he rallied to win 4-6 6-3 6-4 7-6(3) Kyrgios said that he found it difficult to deal with the loss to Djokovic. Djokovic won his seventh Wimbledon title and 21st major title overall.

“It’s the most prestigious award you can win in the sport.” “It was difficult for me to swallow that I had the chance, but I was unable to take advantage of it.”

The Australian, on the other hand, was certain that he would have other opportunities to win big titles.

He said, “I don’t believe any of us ever thought it was conceivable to fight for Grand Slams, but now it’s a legitimate thing.” “I believe that the key is in finding the right level of motivation, and we are both on the same page.”
