Elon Musk has returned to Twitter after a 10-day absence, claiming to be “a bit bored”

On Saturday, Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, broke his 10-day quiet on Twitter by confessing that he had been bored during that time. Musk underwent the ‘digital detox’ from Twitter that was the longest he’d done in almost five years, keeping his over 100 million followers and the media in anticipation. It was on June 22 that he sent out his last tweet before leaving the microblogging platform that he had been using to break news and aid others.

“Are you possibly feeling a little bit bored?” Musk remarked in a tweet. In response to his post, a number of people immediately began inquiring as to where he had been for the preceding 10 days. A person on Twitter instantly responded with the phrase “Daddy’s home!” It has been uninteresting, haha.

Musk then shared a picture on Twitter in which he was posing beside His Holiness Pope Francis at the Vatican. In the backdrop of the shot were most likely Musk’s adult children. Musk said in a tweet that he had the honour of meeting Pontifex the previous day.

In the middle of the disputed $44 billion plan to purchase Twitter, which he has placed on hold until CEO Parag Agrawal tells him of the actual number of bots and spam accounts on the network, he has gone silent for the last ten days. His quiet comes at a time when the transaction is still in flux.

Musk, who uses Twitter on a regular basis, made his most recent statement on June 22, about the conflict between SpaceX and the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) over internet use.

His absence coincided with a controversial judgement about abortion rights that was handed down in the United States, and his fans anticipated that he would have a strong reaction to the verdict.
