Mbappe has said that he will “never” get over the disappointment of losing the World Cup

Kylian Mbappe said that he would never get over the sadness of losing the World Cup final after scoring the game-winning goal for Paris Saint-Germain in his return to play on Wednesday.

“I suppose I’ll never get over it,” Mbappe said 10 days after scoring a hat-trick in the penalty shootout final against Argentina, which the South Americans won.

Mbappe said that he had had “tough days” since the loss, but he showed little symptoms of the setback in Qatar when he earned and converted a penalty kick in the 96th minute to give PSG a last-gasp 2-1 victory against Strasbourg on the return of Ligue 1 after the World Cup.
.
“It does me well to return with a victory and to have a connection with the club, the fans, and my teammates.”

Neymar, who was left in tears when Brazil were eliminated from the World Cup quarterfinals by Croatia, was sent for two yellow cards in PSG’s triumph.
