ISIS-K has claimed responsibility for the blast that occurred in Kabul on Saturday

The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria’s Khorasan branch (ISIS-K) has stated that the explosion that took place in the western section of Kabul on Saturday was carried out by them.

Three people were killed and six others were injured in an explosion that occurred on Saturday, November 13 in Kabul’s Dasht-e-Barchi neighbourhood.

Although it was first reported that Afghan journalist Hameed Saighani was among those killed in the blast, Khaama Press has learned that Saighani was slain in the northern part of the capital.

Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that the event, which resulted in the death of a civilian and the wounding of three others, occurred after the automobile caught fire. ISIS-K has claimed that they put explosives in a minivan that killed 20 people.

As of August 15, ISIS-K is the only terrorist organisation that has carried out a terror act since the Taliban took over the country.

For their part, militants have underestimated the Taliban, which has claimed to have apprehended 600 ISIS-k associates in the last three months alone, according to their claims.
