The audience leaves the comedy club in Charlotte before the suspect discharges his gun: Police

Police have said that on Saturday night, a man shot a pistol inside of a comedy club in the state of North Carolina just after the club was evacuated and before actor and comedian Craig Robinson was scheduled to appear there.

According to several reports from the media, the event took place at about 9 p.m. at The Comedy Zone in Charlotte. Nobody was hurt in the incident.

WSOC-TV was reported by staff of the club that the guy was seen waving a pistol around and ordering everyone to leave before the establishment was completely cleared out. There had been perhaps about fifty customers inside.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg police stated in a statement that they released on Twitter that “the suspect then fired his firearm.” “The culprit was apprehended without anybody being hurt, and there were no reported injuries.”

Nobody has been able to identify the individual.

Robinson is a well-known actor who has been in films such as “Hot Tub Time Machine” and in the American adaptation of “The Office” television programme. In a video message that he sent to his Instagram account later that same night, he assured his followers that he was okay.

Robinson said that he and other clubgoers were transported to a neighbouring event where the popular band Big Time Rush was playing.

“I was in the green room when they told everyone to come out,” he added. “I didn’t know what was going on.” “It was a crazy ride. It was definitely a moment to remember.”
